ADAPTABILITY FACTOR

There are several ways to gain 5 points under this factor, but note that the maximum award is 10 points. Married applicants may receive 3, 4 or 5 points for the education of their spouse (or common law partner) depending on the spouse’s education. Previous study in Canada for two years or more, or previous work in Canada for at least one year, are each worth 5 points. As noted above, having Arranged Employment is worth 5 points (in addition to the 10 points for having Arranged Employment). Finally, a close relative living in Canada is worth 5 points. Note that “cousins” do not count. The relative must be either an aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, brother, sister, parents, children, grandchildren or spouse.
